Barrie Price elected Vice-President of Global Accounting Body
EuraAuditUK Chairman to oversee 150 international accountancy firms
January 31, 2007 - Barrie Price, Chairman of EuraAuditUK has been elected Vice-President of EuraAudit International, effective January 2007. His new role includes overseeing cross-continental expansion and research and development.
EuraAudit International is headquartered in Paris and comprises 150 firms in 200 towns across the world. It is the 7th largest Accountancy Network in Europe, has an excellent reputation with the World Bank and the European Central Bank, and continues to gather momentum in the EC. It annually publishes ‘Taxes in Europe’ - an invaluable reference book detailing European tax systems.
Former Mayor of Ripon, member of the Worshipful Company of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales and Freeman of the City of London Barrie Price FCA FCCA, FCIM, MCMI, started off as an articled clerk in 1953 and is now the director of 26 Yorkshire based companies. He became a partner in Lishman, Sidwell, Campbell and Price in 1962, when the firm had only two offices in Ripon and Harrogate. He has since then grown it into a multi-million pound business.
